Community Health

Community health promotion programs are developed in response to community needs. These programs are designed to allow individuals, priority groups and the community to maintain and improve their overall health and wellbeing.

Community programs are offered by the Community Health Team which include the Coordinator of Community Programs and Communications, the Health Promotion Workers, the Case Manager, the Registered Dietitian, Registered Nurses and Volunteers.

Community activities are open to all residents of West Nipissing and of Nipissing First Nation, and are offered in various service areas.

Some activities are targeted to specific age groups, and you must register for the closed groups as they have a start date and end date. Please complete a Registration Form or call the Centre before attending an activity as some groups are full. See the Community  “Programs Calendar” to view the schedule and location of activities and to register online. All the groups are free. Exceptions may apply for materials or meals, such as for the scrapbooking and OASIS programs.
