TWO (2) SUMMER STUDENTS FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH

Opportunity: June, July and August 2023 (total of 10 weeks)

Closing Date: May 12, 2023 4:00 pm

Responsibilities:

Support the community programs in activity planning, implementation and evaluation
Organize program materials and supplies for community health activities.
Support communication efforts and knowledge dissemination documents.
Collect data and conduct literature reviews.
Support program events and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

Studying in health promotion, community health, recreation or social sciences related field.

Experience:

Experience in the health sector or in administration will be an asset.
Experience with facilitating groups, working with older adults or youth will be an asset.

Knowledge and skills:

Bilingual: Excellent verbal and written communications skills in French and English
Ability to facilitate groups; must be initiative-taking and enthusiastic
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a part of a team
Excellent knowledge of computers
Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt
Must be able to work flexible hours

Work Location:

West Nipissing Community Health Centre – 68 Michaud Street, Sturgeon Falls

Salary Scale:

$17.55 hourly
